The Islands only generate around the balloon :/ so jumping out at a high height and landing on an island is not the best idea, since when your balloon gets too far away the island disappears.
I jumped out and fell a great height, landing on an island and then dramatically walking into the deadly fog.

I fell out of my balloon really high up and I just stared up at my balloon as I fell and the music made it worse.

I get genuinely scared as the fog creeps closer to you

From what I've seen it takes awhile.

Also my balloon left me on an island.
I could have sworn the balloon temperature was like 0... But then I saw it floating away. ):

I was hovering above the island in my balloon, but it was moving backwards. Out of despiration, I skydived down and started my ascent. I got half way up the island when the game decided to loving CRASH

i landed the first time i tried lol

i was so close to the north pole i think because the winds were like blowing in the north, although i found it odd because the compass kept glitching, pointing in different areas every so often.
i think i got caught in a loop of wind.

it just doesnt loving go OVER THE ISLANDS
it literally rolls close enough that i'd die in the fog right outside safety
forget this im just gonna keep walking away and coming back to the game until i come OVER an island
i also ragethrew my gas canister, compass and 2 boxes over the side...

its suppose to be a peaceful game and it works, you must be doing something wrong.
don't go to high up, stay low when preparing for a landing, when you're almost there use the air thingy and get rid of a notch or two of air, matters how far or close you are. then abjust as you start to head for it.
also the winds have to be over it, or close at least

yea the winds pretend like theyre gonna go over it and then change at the last second and im left watching as the island speeds away
ive tried all kinds of heights and none of the winds ever push me in the right direction
nerdcubed wasn't even trying and he landed 3 damn times
i just want to play :(

In typical Tinus fashion The Aurora Wager V4 took longer to create than promised, but it’s pretty much done. Some highlights:

    Split-screen multiplayer support (just technically though, no real gameplay changes yet)
    In-game graphics and control configuration screens
    Improved wind field system (more variation, anomalies, less prone to crashing)
    Improved wind graphics (More, longer trails, optimized performance)
    Fixes to grappling hook physics
    Flag now rotates with wind direction
    Fuel amount per canister cut in half

Look for it this week! (Yes, definitely.)
