I was thinking as opposed to just engineer I'd be more of a crew chief or deck chief, still not CE but a little more experienced than just a fresh engineer.

depends on what happens in the roleplay, after all the only person certified to give battlefield promotions is the CO~

That said, I'm going to write out a basic "how-to" manual for all of the ships systems. I expect this to be done next weekend

along with repairing the ship from some recent  battle damage
