What is average armor thickness and or all ships hollow in some places? Not like hallways and bay I mean closed off portions, and I feel bad or having a lot of power generators close to the outside of the hull.

I know how it feels bro. As far as armor goes, put your strongest hulls and increase thickness where you mostly likely get hit the most and around vital parts of the ship.

My one and only hint to all of you.
You can walk off planets and fall back into space very easily.

Okay. I already packed some generators into the drum area on the underside of the ship but I'll place another ton of generators in the lower hull above the drum, which encases the midsection of the ship in armor. If that sounds good, more or less its the most protected area in the ship.
Also I'll fit some hardened armor around the areas where I have my generators and power tanks.

Also, I'm looking into the effectiveness of spaced armor as a one time potent solution to missile damage. And AMCs are too mainstream. d1000s are the new AMCs in turrets.
