To put it simply, I've felt the peti love before. But she was different. She was everything the ideal girlfriend should be. But its over now, I've more or less fixed the situation. I'm known throughout the school as kind of a psychiatrist, so I talked it out and convinced her to consider taking me back. But eh, high hopes lead to big falls.

She said she still loved me, but there were things she couldn't let go. So i helped her to see I can fix whatever is wrong, but she needs to tell me, or else im not going to know. For starters, she didn't like how i was agnostic, so I spent a lot of time soul searching (this was a few months ago) and today i asked if she would convert me. That, she said, made her have to reconsider. There are other things I need to fix, but I've got her thinking if she loves me enough to see past my flaws.

In other words i gave myself hope again.

Its her parents, who are most likely the main cause of all this, are extremely religious. If they found out, it would be over anyway. I needed someone to help me anyway.

You should never have to change yourself for someone to like you. Thats one of the deepest roots in a relationship. You love each other for who you are.
