"edgy" insult is irritating

I've never made a drama before, but this has irritated me enough that I think it should be addressed

I saw someone in off-topic call someone edgy or something a few days ago and now I'm seeing it all over the place
over and over

Stop being edgy, it's not cool.

Idc if you do or not, this isnt a topic on "omg your soo coo and edgy" or similar stuff like that. (includes "Cancer omg")

People are not incapable of getting upset at things they see on the internet, if you're insulting or offending then people are going to get upset. It's not because they're just some stupid, dramatic teenager trying to be "edgy"

That's pretty low. Yeah there are other incidents, and don't act like they dont receive attention. The news can't cover everything. Check a global news center if you care that much. And even in relation to cancer or kids in Africa, you think we aren't doing anything? Personally I donated 160 canned foods this year to my schools food drive, and it goes straight to Africa to feed those who can't get food. Sure I'm not saving a kid or something but people do care about these things.

Edgy has sort of just become the word for anyone who's uncaring and appears like they're trying to be sophisticated when really coming off fairly richardish.

I disagree. While I don't expect them to care, when someone makes a video about a tragedy that isn't funny regardless of whether it's about a tragedy or not, and people laugh, they're acting like they think it's funny even if it's not.
