Author Topic: CISPA (Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protect Act) (New SOPA?)  (Read 2742 times)

Because I followed @YourAnonNews on Twitter for the benefits of being updated with coverage about the Boston Bombings, without news channels tinting the story like Fox or CNN, I ran across several tweets regarding a specific bill that's going through congress, and has been voted yes by congress to be sent to the senate. I did some looking and from all of the peoples reactions, and the stories, it's just like another SOPA bill.

While some say it's a good idea, many tell President to Veto the bill.

Twitterers say different and that this endangers privacy.

Afraid not. I have some faith that Anonymous will do something about it, or that Barack Obama will see that it's not the right choice.

Soon we're gonna have a 3rd SOPA. The exact same thing, except under a different name.

CISPA existed before, they just brought it up again.

I hope it does not pass.

this stuff's ridiculous
why are they trying to censor the internet

to control you like they've been doing for a good amount of years. Our government currently right now does nothing but want to increase the things it can tell you to do and not do. And penalize you for it.

Obama threatened to veto the bill, IIRC.

Censor the Internet already! We need to be as good as China! All social networks should be abolished as they poison the youth!!! VOTE CISPA TODAY

You all have no idea what cispa really does or how it works or why it should be passed

As long as my internets isn't censored and such I don't mind.

and they will continue to try and never stop.

why you guys assumed they gave up after sopa is beyond me. you gotta pay attention to ALL bills that the houses put up.

From my general observations it looks like a bill that will allow private companies to share personal information about us. I posted this just so stir aware and discussion.

If all it does is share passwords and such with the government legally why make a deal over it. Not like they don't already do it illegally.
