Author Topic: Better looking water  (Read 2746 times)

Your probably thinking of waves, no I' thinking of better water.

From Far Cry 1

(Just think of only the water)

If we could have better water, that'd be awesome. Just imagine how things would look with the new shadows and shaders, with this water.

Shhh, don't say that! We'll get version 22 that adds water reflections and removes vehicles.

How the hell did you know our plans?

REMOVES VEHICLES?!?!?!?!?!?! NUUUUUU

It took over 30 years in videogames to get realistic looking water and only about a handful of games actually pull it off. There is no way blockland is able to pull it off.

To balance how it's much harder to drive on bricks, Badspot is removing vehicles.

funnily enough, that would actually make perfect sense and be a reasonable compromise for liquid simulation

The same way Blockland could not pull shaders off.

No this is just for the visuals. If you want liquid simulation it's gonna cost you projectiles.

BUT IT'S A BUILDING GAME NOT A PROJECTILE UTILIZING GAME SO WHO CARES RIGHT?

It tried

It tried...

Water reflections is the same as mirrors which is impossible since it requires The game to double everything for it. Waves would be nice though.

Since BL uses shaders now it is possible, its just a matter of Badspot adding the ability to render different bricks with different shaders and such

In my opinion, a bit too realistic for blockland.

This right here is so good XD

Support.
We should also have the option to have clear water; and water with those LEGO textures on them.
