I don't know why they barred gays for so long. I mean, haven't the counselors ever considered that gay scouts might actually want to be molested?

2. Its usualy against the Bible to have loveual relationships with the same gender (ie. Gays or Lesbians) so thats why Boy Scouts of America denied Gay people.

I'm trying to clear up misconceptions about Christians set up by non-Christians/poor judgement Christians. I do not hate, dislike or have any hateful feelings in general for gay people. They are sentient human beings who have made their own choice and I will not hate them for that.

I am as well. There are 120 scouts in my troop, everyone knows me, and most everyone knows I accept scientific theory / darwinism / theory of evolution over the bible (little bit of agnostic / pastafarian, there are some things yet to be explained, and I'm not going to tell people there ISN'T a god.)

I guess as long as you treat people well and you have SOME religious views, they'll let you get eagle. Which I'm working on right now ;)

OT: I don't see why it matters what Christianity says, considering BSA is a multi- cultural organization that allows multiple religious views. BSA can't base everything it does around the church, otherwise it would just be another church.

BSA is a christian organization, and being that they are, they believe in the bible. The bible says that it is a abomination to be with the same love. Almost the same with athiests. But thats another story.
