Anti-Fez Thread - I feel like I need to beg you all not to buy this.

Please please please do NOT purchase this game.

Don't pirate it.

Boycott this game.

The developer Phil Fish is the biggest starfish in gaming, he's already made buckets of money off of this boring, easy, gimicky game, please don't give him more.


I ask you also not to pirate it because it will feed his ego. "50,000 people pirated my game, awesome, people wanted to play MY game that much."
Talking about it is even giving it too much attention, but if this thread will convince even one of you to not purchase this it will have done enough.

Reason why I'm making this thread right now is because it's on Steam's store page.



Phil Fish has said "Japanese Games ‘Just Suck’" which is extremely hypocritical, mainly because his game (Fez) is strongly influenced by the game Cave Story, which I'm sure that you know is a Japanese game.

I realized how much of a jerk he was when I watched Indie Game: The Movie on netflix. They tried to make him look decent in it but you still could easily tell how much of a richard he was. Fez didn't even look that fun, IMO.

It would be more fun if there was a challenge to the game, but every time you die you land on the last platform you were on.

The gimmick was made in a flash game in like 4 weeks by some guy and it was way better because of a difficulty curve and there were enemies to avoid/stomp.


I get that indie platformers are made around 1 gimmick, but this is Braid levels of douchebaggery.

Is fez the game were you turn the world to go on other 2d platforms? Because I remember seeing a game like that on TV a very long time ago that was being made for the DS or something.

Do you know the game I'm talking about though?  I know the people said they didn't have alot of money to make it and it was at least 5 years ago. If not more
