Author Topic: I got a 3DS for my birthday a few days ago  (Read 1890 times)

You poor, poor soul.
I never had any Nintendo consoles other than Gameboys and the DS, and then the Wii.
My next door neighbour had an N64 and a Gamecube, but he only really had Mario games and one SuperSmashBros. :c

Ocarine of Time is pretty good though (although I still haven't finished it), and I played like 5 minutes of another game around someone's house before (I think it was windwaker?).
When I get a chance, I'll probably try and get another one. I have a Gamecube controller for the Wii, so I can try some gamecube games if I ever get a chance. But I need a Gamecube memory card for it, since it can't save to the Wii for some stupid reason.
Need one so I can actually progress anywhere on Super Mario Sunshine.

My name in the thing is Tonkka, but if the system works the way i think it does you can name me "stuffhead" or something.

Nah, that's just a temporary name until you've both added each other.
When your 3DS detects that it's been added by a person you've also added, then the two of them will sync up.
It'll show your friends Mii, their quote, their favourite game, whether they are online, what they're playing if they are online, and it will also display them with their own chosen name.

I find it's best to name a person temporarily as the name you know them by.
Otherwise, the next time you start up, they might have added you too.
And if it updates to something like "Tom" instead of a username you recognise, you might be a bit confused and be unsure which of your would-be friends has added you back.

Best way to use the system is to give each other your friend codes and the name you have set for your 3DS profile.

Get pokemon its seems pretty cool

Lucky you, first things first, get Mario Kart.

Ok guys, my friend code is 3153-4055-7620

I had the DS Lite twice, but lost both as a kid, never liked the DS until the 3DS came out.
Can you chat in-games on it?

It's pretty sad after making a stuffty topic and getting beat by tony that you guys flip stuff about Tony in all Nintendo topics. The man did have some pretty good points.
