Katrina
it was pretty weak though, where I was

How long did you go for without electricity? With Sandy, we had nearly 2 weeks without power. It was awful.
Also two weeks, sorry for the late update.

On the year that Fay came,
I was sitting in my house, the storm was tame
As it wreaked havoc on the countryside
I felt the raising tide

School was cancelled, it's for the best
All too serious to make some jest
We all prepared, for the worst
But the worst would not be the first

I lived through many storms in my time
Had one yesterday before this rhyme
I could not even remember what went on
But it was terrible, that I know.

I've only been through two, excluding blizzards: Hurricanes Irene and Sandy. Neither of which did anything considerably bad to my house(they didn't even knock my power out lol), although they started a couple of leaks in my house that we had to fix.
