"stuff. Where's the roosterpit? What are these supposed to be, glorified drones? Ensign, take a look over our database and see if you can find me a specialist who may be able to make sense of this. If so, inform him that I require his counsel on this matter and have him brought to the bridge, ASAP. Also, scan those blasted things, unless you believe it may activate them.

Williams, patch me through to Alpha and Bravo's officers.

Alright, gentlemen. What we have here is a large gathering of hell-bloody-knows. I want all vessels to stand at the ready for battle or for a hasty retreat, should it come to that. Do not do anything that may cause these ships to activate and open fire on us - with luck, we may be able to make use of them. Until we can understand what we are dealing with, you are to hold your ground and remain on full alert. Overlord, out."

"Let's see what we can't do about getting our food and water supplies up. Once we're there, we have what we need. We can start to settle in, but considering the fact we're a scrapping company, we can only use what we obtain to make our industry better. While checking out that water and food issue, check in on any ideas you can brainstorm and shove them into a blueprint. We might need some improvements."

Get in contact with the station who requested the pirates be eliminated, make sure they're not under attack.  Send in a ground team to sweep the base for any supplies left behind.

Inquire about the incident at the mine. Begin construction of a fast food joint called "McNotDonalds".

Scrapheap

You manage to warp out just in time. The drones do not come after you. They have no means to.

ISF

"Sir we can't find anything about these things. They are unknown. I'm not sure if it is smart to scan them."

They still float. Deactivated.

NFSC

Sadly none of your people specialize in blueprint development. The food will have to be bought from the locals, or you can try your luck with the local "fruit" and "vegetables". Which widely has not been tested, if at all.

Wolf Company

Station: "No we are fine. I heard you got rid of our problem. We are granting you access to the station. Don't make us regret this."

As your ground team lands, the explosives are triggered. All of the infrastructure of Outpost 2 begins to explode in a violent manner.

Soldier: "IT'S A TRAAA-"

The radio cut out. The fleet is luckily saved by the shields.
The frigates had some of their parts melted. They require repairs.
You lost six men.

AFR

You recieve a report.

Quote from: The Report
At exactly 19:34 Earth time. Engineer Edwards C. had begun to vomit uncontrollably. Soon enough he had suffered several mutations. This is what the men called them. I had not seen the body my self. The scientists had recovered it and are keeping it away from the public. Edwards C. went on a killing spree and had killed five of his comrades. He could not be reasoned with. He was stopped by one of the engineers. Matt R. who shot of his head with a mining tool.

There are concerns about the fast food joint.  People distrust the food sold there.

Son of a bitch.

"Ladies and gentlemen we've had a... minor, unexpected setback... the outpost was unfortunately rigged to explode, and killed six of our men.  This, however, will not stop us from surviving.  The station has allowed us to dock and we will dock soon to obtain food, water, and other necessities.  Remain strong, everyone, I am confident we will make it through this.  That is all."

Warp to the station and prepare to dock.

Get some of the fruit and vegetables and test it.
I bet somebody is willing to test it by eating it.

Wolf Company

You warp successfully and dock. To your surprise the station seems in a decent state. One of the engineers at the docking bay inquires about his sister. He claims she was captured by the pirates.

NFSC

None of your crew want to risk it. They want decent food. Some are outraged by your decision.
"What are we, labrats?!"

"He went mad and killed 5 others?"
"Thats what the report says, sir."
"It could be that he was just crazy, correct?"
"Yes, but I would suggest having some of our scientists look into it."
"Do it."
"Is that all, sir?"
"Not quite. If this colony ever has any hopes of surviving, we need to establish some base facilities."
"Like what, sir?"
"We need to begin construction of a police force, as well as a health care facility. Get these done ASAP."
"Can do."

Present to the residents of the station the prisoners as well as those rescued.  As well, commander Cherenkov would like to have a nice coffee with the administrator of the station.

"Damn it all, I will not risk the lives of my soldiers for some hunks of junk. Not now. We don't even know if they're functional. Save the current coordinates for later use, have the fleet set a course for JIEV-IV and move out.  Remain on alert, we do not know what awaits us there. Furthermore, make sure to keep an eye on these objects until we are safely out of range. We'll be able to return and investigate further once we have the necessary resources to do it safely and competently. That will be all for the moment."

"Pardon me, Jenkins, may I have another coffee?"

AFR

Due to your overspread construction plans. Everything will take a whole lot longer.
You recieve another report of oddly behaving person. This time. In the colony.

The scientists insist gas mask distribution, quarantine and detailed colonial brown townaysis.
All colonists must be checked.

Wolf Company

One of the engineers spots his sister among the rescued. He notifies you that the repairs of your frigates will be underway.
For free. You are instantly welcomed and shown the way to the administration. They await you. Do you go ahead to meet them or look around the station?

ISF

Jenkins: "Certainly sir."

He storms off to make coffee. As much as you keep your "eyes" onto the objects. They just drift away further into space after you leave. It will take some time to get to JIEV-IV with only your impulse drives.

NFSC

You converse with some people of the colony. You hear about the latest incident.

"Thank you, Jenkins.

Williams, inform the crew of our destination and ETA, then relay some orders to the major for me. Have all marines handled by their respective officers. Ensure that their equipment is clean and functional and that they are sharp and alert, as should be. I want gear checks, drills and uniform inspections. I'll be expecting his report within twenty-four hours.

Furthermore, I want all of our vessels thoroughly inspected and in tip-top condition. If any of them have as much as a scratch on their paint, repairs must be done immediately. I want a full report on this, as well.

Oh, and have someone fix whatever is causing that infernal whirring. A man would hardly be able to command an Ibis with such distractions, let alone an entire fleet. Dismissed."

"It was just a suggestion. We can always pack up and leave. I'll make that tiny mistake that you can't get over all better by getting you guys what you want. I'll fill up our food and water reserves, but to do that I'm going to have to have a word with whoever is running this joint."

I shall go ahead and meet them!
