Author Topic: i dont get homeschooling  (Read 11107 times)

being allowed to get up whenever you want?
that'll make you lazy
and, iirc, many (many! not all! I know there are different types of programs for it) homeschooled kids depend on their parents for teaching, and for most other things too
Funny thing is I NEVER got to get up whenever I wanted. What you don't seem to understand is that there is no official set of rules or standard for homeschooling. It really depends on what you do when you get into homeschooling. And 9/10 times its better for your parents to homeschool you anyway because they actually know better than the biased standard at State sponsored schools.

Yeah, as much as you disagree with me, Public schools are biased and full of the biggest pots of horsestuff I've ever seen. As a homeschooler I was able to formulate my own opinions separate from the social standard.

What's the problem you guys have with homeschooling? I don't get bullstuff teachers, score from "Above Average" to the 99.9th percentile on my SAT test every year (The only official test I have to take,) and have a huge group of friends at the class I go to every week. (Similar to normal school; It's a few hours shorter) It's easier than public school, there are no dumbasses in class to slow down the teacher's progress, and I don't even have to rush to school every morning.

Oh boy! Children being dependent on their parents! Spot the presses, this is crazy!
Mixing up "Learning" with "Not able to function without."

Most homeschool parents have a set time for starting/stopping.

There was a video from "BlimeyCow" on youtube that sums it up nicely. Can't link because I'm on an iPad

You guys are stupid.

at high school ages? lol
At high school, there is very little work done with my parents. It's mostly just online courses with teachers in other areas.

bottom line is public school >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> homeschool. only homeschooled kids will say differently

homeschooling is a two edged sword. some kid at my school transferred in knowing enough to do trig or precalc freshman year. i think it was trig, may have been precalc. point it, he was homeschooled and through homeschooling he had gotten much farther than he would've being lagged behind in public school. fortunately he is developed socially. if you do homeschooling right, it's superior.

This is supposed to be trolling?

Man has the quality control in TrollHQ been slipping

Homeschooled is better though. You can go at your own pace, less distraction, eat when you want, not suffer boring lectures, and other ect stuff.

And I go to a public school.

oh me too

what curriculum do you use?

would never want to be homeschooled. all the homeschooled kids i know are really weird and losers. you cant make friends if you dont spend time with other people for 70% of the day. sure, maybe there are a few exceptions, but honestly you're just being dumb if you say homeschooled kids are just as socially adept as public/private school kids.

You can't really be this stupid. It's not possible.

ITT: My anecdotal evidence proves everyone else wrong in all situations.

Another problem with public school is that different teachers use different teaching techniques and it can easily mess with your head confusing you.

also, if your schooling isn't consistent and you bounce between schools, you could relearn some material and completely skip other material. i've gone to 5 separate K12 schools, and as a result my understanding of history is totally forgeted. teaching should be consistent through grades.

So much of this.
I switched schools about a month ago and now I'm so confused over stuff. Also the grade classes here are so messed up I miss material in some classes.
