Author Topic: Opinions: get Wii U + MHTU?  (Read 3102 times)

Why would anyone buy an entire console just for one game?
Halo
God of War/ Uncharted
Zelda/ Mario

This. I have it on the 3DS and it's great.

No the wiiu version isn't really that bad. He just doesn't like the game.

You DO have to time your swings, That's how the series is.
Well i just don't like the design choices that they went with. The graphical quality on the Wii U is a shame. They could have done so much more. The aesthetics are loving stuff. All the armor pieces and weapons are highly detailed, but all of the monsters and the landscape are pretty much untouched.

Adin asked for other people's opinions. Yours is not paramount nor the centerpiece of this thread. By saying it's an 'starfish move' to express his opinion when asked to loving do so is completely stupid. Get off your loving high horse.
There is a great difference between "Yeah, but in my opinion this and that" and "Go to hell, your opinion is loving incorrect. This is what i think". Hiiro used the latter which is the reason i said that its an starfish move. The reason i didn't quote him was because i was on phone and i can't delete that much text. In case you didn't read Hiiro's post here it is:
the "points" brought up by Tonkka were not accurate.
Most of these were based on more of an opinion (e.g. "The dialog is hard to read in such a small text box")

whoa holy stuff

Is the Wii U version really that bad?

I have the 3DS version and I love it to pieces.
It isn't that bad, but its an insult to the Wii U's power capabilities. Its like making a fat guy who has never done exercise and an athletic football superstar run a race, but the super star isn't allowed to run faster than the fat guy.

Or

Since its a Wii port, here's another example: A fat man who has never done exercise trains up to be an athletic superstar, but he can't run anymore than a few seconds faster than the fat guy, even though he could.

thats a list of games, not a list of reasons

That and people normally get the console, get the respective game, then get more than one game afterwards.

Pretty much my plan, I never was big on consoles but I'm getting big on Nintendo progressively.
That and my computer is commuting Self Delete as we speak with an Everage CPU usage of 98% with NO apps open.

I've only played the demo of the 3ds version of tri and i found the text hard to read with 3d on :(

No, but its really pushing the limits. I don't mind low graphics in games like Minecraft because it has a consistent aesthetic style, but Monster Hunter 3 is just a pain to look at. Also most of the gameplay stuff like controls and so on are horrible, yet people defend them as "You have to time your swings in this best game ever I'm an obvious fanboy". Text boxes in the game are so damn small i just didn't bother reading any of the dialog. I have no idea what is happening in the story. Good game.
I dont know what your talking about. I have the 3ds version and it is the best game I've ever played, I don't notice any of the flaws your mentioning, the graphics are beautiful and the text boxes are perfectly sized

the 3d is nice but different layers go on top of one another, and that gets a little annoying.

oops, sorry for double post.

Anyone have it on the Wii U? I wanna play :(

The textboxes are loving tiny. Maybe its because i don't have my face pressed up against the screen nor do i own some "super vision" which allows me to see the tiniest finger print from a mile away.

buy a hd TV

buy a hd TV
I had a HD TV when i played this game. Although it was a 40 inch screen so that could be the reason the text is so tiny.

And that's how console manufacturers manage to survive while selling absolutely nothing worthwhile.

Not it's not, it feels weird.
not to me. I play all my games in 3D. I enjoy it
