Author Topic: Do you believe in aliens?  (Read 9078 times)

See title.

I believe in them because the universe is too complex to just be empty.

theres no reason not to :D

They definitely exist, but nobody has ever seen or have been contacted/abducted by one.

They do exist, they keep hopping the wall.
Oh not those aliens?

Yes I do believe they exist though, just not quite on earth

They're out there, somewhere.

I believe there is a high probability that somewhere out in the seemingly infinite universe, there must be other forms of life.

Whether that's like little alien cells, or tiny animals, I don't know.
Could possibly be space-faring sentient life-forms, but chances are they'd be so unbelievably far away from us that they'd never get word of us from our broadcasts into space or our space probes.
And if they did, it'd take them so long to travel to Earth that by the time they got here, we might not even be here.
And if they did turn up now, then they'd probably have had to have seen our planet millions if not billions of years ago, when it was little more than volcanic mess. Which begs the question, why travel here in the first place?

So, I believe that there is likely some life out there, but I don't think they'll be visiting anytime soon, nor that they have visited.

Nope. And if we did see them, they would be different that we picture them.

I'm pretty sure that humanity will be non-existent by the time we make first contact.

They definitely exist, but nobody has ever seen or have been contacted/abducted by one.

Since the universe is (almost) infinitely large, the chances that there aren't any other lifeforms out there is quite slim. Aliens probably exist / have existed / will exist, but we will never meet them. And even if we did, it's not even certain that we would recognize them as living creatures (by our definitions).

I believe it's stupid to assume that all knowledge is bound by human ignorance, and that our arrogance defines what is or isn't real.

Do I believe that they do?  I certainly would like to, but I can't say either way.  Yes, it's possible that they don't -- but it's more likely that they do.  Either way, nothing beyond common theory acts as credibility on the subject, so any argument is moot.

that's what an alien would say
I happen to be just like you, human worm baby. Now go perform your face sucking ritual with a potential mate. I'm conducting a...er, survey.

imo it would be ridiculous and stupid to actually claim that we're alone
we already know that life exists elsewhere. it's more than likely that some of it evolved like us
