Since radio signals travel in space forever, could it be possible that when its year 3000, an advanced alien race could pick up some of humanity's first radio broadcasts? It would be funny if they had studied the human race and would arrive on earth wearing early 1900's clothes and using early 1900's jokes.

In Futurama there was an episode on this, but instead of wearing old clothes the aliens from "Omicron 6" (I think that was the name of the planet)  they demand to see new episodes from an ancient soap series.

this wouldn't happen because the signals would decay so much that their strength would be almost zero by the time they even made it out of our solar system

And obviously those aliens would be able to travel with the speed of "hyper light" since they couldn't just plan an operation where the aliens would just forget each other and teach their kids to be pilots to man the ship when the old captains die since any species being born in space would result in a highly mutated creature incapable of movement.

I voted "no they wouldve shown themselves already" because I thought you were talking about like aliens here on planet Earth. But there is definitely 'aliens' (more so other lifeforms) out there that we aren't aware of.


and by out there I mean like outside our solar system or galaxy. There is proof everywhere of lot of planets that could support true life.

This is what I think and don't think at the same time. If there was life on another planet than Earth and not be the Human race who has superior knowledge (or is even more stupid than SAC) that is outside of our galaxy, well, why on "Earth" would they want to go to us?
Even if they did come and they do have superior knowledge, they would know that War is a stupid choice and wouldn't abduct people.

Then again, life is an absolute loving marvel of physics and chemistry. Is it just a "byproduct" from the specific (for lack of a usable term) properties of our universe?
