Who here likes Kreator?
I liked that song you linked me, but I haven't listened to anything else for some reason.

Who here likes Kreator?
I like to listen to them every once in awhile.

Also, have any of you ever heard of Nekrogoblikon?
I found them like a month ago, they're amazing.

I always thought Meshuggah was a form of Death Metal. Anyways, ill add it to the OP tomorrow.

I mostly like classic Heavy Metal.

Though, I have been listening to Gojira lately. They're awesome.

Meshuggah like

was the first band to popularize polyrhythms and extra strings in metal

Also, the metalcore bands I like and think should be added are Norma Jean, The Dillinger Escape plan (both of them could be considered mathcore), Every Time I die, and August Burns Red. I tend to stay away from the scene looking pretty singing guys.

What got me into metal was Doom music.

What got me into metal was Doom music.
Ugh! How could I have forgotten Doom metal.

Slumber is probably my favourite doom band.

if i had to choose any metal band, it would be Dio. Not even sure if it can be labeled under metal because it's got clean vocals, nice-sounding instruments, and nearly curse-free lyrics.

I don't listen to doom metal, but I was talking about music from Doom...which is basically a bunch of 80s-90s metal songs sampled/remixed.

compare E3M3 - Deep Into the Code to Slayer - Behind the Crooked Cross

funny part is, the composer for Doom was a lawyer so he knew when to stop.

Needs more electronicore bands:

We Came As Romans
I See Stars
Abandon All Ships
Woe, Is Me
Everyone Dies In Utah
The Word Alive

.sid metal
Basically a mix of c64 chiptune and metal
