the first 9 seconds of the video explain this

Combine IllumiRoom with head tracking , that would be sick.

That is awesome
I want to try this when I get home :o

I saw something like this on kickstarter that looked way more interesting, This seems pretty crappy really.

That looks pretty crappy, it's just some colored LEDs.

It would be some really sweet 3d if you could get the 2 to work together. The only problem would be making content to take advantage of the two things. I really wish I had the motivation to work on a project like combining those things.

Motivation? I just wish I had the knowledge, ability, and resources to do that

I don't really see the innovation here. You could pretty much just use a projector as a display for your games and it would be the same result.

Everyone has the ability to do this. How do you think people figure out how to do this stuff? They didn't just figure it out by sitting there not working on it. If you really wanted to do this you would go teach yourself how to. All that requires is motivation.

As for the resources, yeah that could be a really limiting factor.

The thing with the physics objects interacting with the room was pretty cool.

Most certainly not.
The IllumiRoom seems to work on not only a flat wall.
Second of all, it extends the field around what you see instead of extending what you see.
It's not the same at all.

Alternatively, Printer:3D Printer::Projector:IllumiRoom

although it shouldn't be too much trouble to just find a flat wall

Ugh. I hate this.

When im playing games, I play them ON the tv. It would do nothing but annoy me.

2 things: it's made to be immersive technology, and it's also optional.
If you don't want it, you wouldn't have to get it.
