Author Topic: Weed. Good or Bad? (Can't decide)  (Read 2148 times)

There's this debate still going on whether Marijuana is really good for you or not. I am leaning over to the Bad side but having trouble. The people who say Marijuana is good usually follow the bandwagon of "it's healthy and does great stuff" but without actually giving real proof like factual statistics.

I've read this article which talks about the 'real truth' behind Marijuana and what it actually does to your body.

Seems believable.
Any thoughts?

Marijuana is still a better alternative to alcohol and tobacco. Not saying that its exactly good for you but its better than the other alternatives

OP is going to burdan the "good" side with proof while offering none for the "bad" side himself.

carcinogens are a concern but from what I've heard, not much else
It's also not necessarily addictive, but if somebody is inclined to use it I'd say that is a step closer to the level of irresponsibility that would lead to addiction
idk though, due to no personal experience and not enough research

Because I'm trying to find real sources rather than Wikipedia or Yahoo Answers.

p sure he's asking for proof for the bad good side because he couldn't find any? he specifically stated he couldn't decide and is asking for proof if you have any

i believe it was edmund mcmillen who said something like 'im sure people who take weed are nice but i've never met anyone that takes weed [regularly] that is successful and/or happy' and that seems to be true
it's quite a waste of money imo... def better for you than tobacco but i'm not so sure about alcohol. it carries the risk of it being illegal and you could get in a lot of trouble for taking it. honestly if you need a drug to be happy and relax maybe you should reassess your life and make some changes...

on the note of it being bad for you physically or not, inhaling smoke is never going to be good for you. eating it i don't know but i'm pretty sure it has minor physical deterrents but not many - it's more the mind process that makes it bad imo

Wait what are you guys on about? The link in my OP is an article that talks about the bad side to Marijuana and I'm saying I believe it. I'm trying to find real information about the good side though rather than biased opinions.

And why I'm doing this is because too many people are saying the same thing and I can't decide whether it's a moron bandwagon or it's an actual fact they got from somewhere.

pretty much the same statement anyway :(

apparently it has 4x more tar than tobacco (not necessarily cigarettes since they add stuff)
so that'd bad
but you don't have to smoke it

anyway, the points made for legalization aren't entirely about curing things, more about letting people consume it recreationally because it's their body, it's not as harmful as alcohol/tobacco, causes unnecessary jailings, is a main source of profit for gangs, and other arguments.

I don't like second hand smoke. Right to smokeless air!

even though i dont agree with taking it i'd agree with legalizing it (and just tax the hell out of it)
it's stupid that we have to pay to jail the people that take it : \

its not addictive but it can be habit forming

I smoked weed frequently for like six months. I stopped due to increased anxiety and coughing.
