Glasglow slammed to the ground, shoulder bleeding. The mark it had left on him had been the shape of a bullet wound. They were all around them, with no escape. He looked around at the scared, frightened, maybe even scarred group of children no older than 16.. maybe 17??

He trembled, a few tears dripping out his eye ducts, before collapsing and ending face down in blood.

The crowd simultaneously stepped back, then broke into little groups of screaming mass. Most of them were gunned down instantly, the surviving few running behind cover in a dark alleyway.

"We're surrounded, and they're going to come after us any second! What do we do?!"
Tai looked around frantically at the freaked out (maybe even determined) group of children which consisted of only 5 excluding Tai. Charles, Artemis, David, Ivy, and Noah.

David spoke up first.

"There's a window just above our heads about one foot. If we can get through it we can head out the back door of the building and into safety."

Immediately, Charles stood up, and despite his shaking figure, he exclaimed, "Great idea. I'm going first."

He turned around to the window, a glimmer of light extruding from the interior. Charles leaped up, took hold of the window ledge, pulled himself up..

..and made contact with window. It shattered instantly, but Charles was blown back, screaming as he made a great dramatic falling pose into the ground, grunting once before his body lay limp. Artemis shrieked.

"He's dead! He's dead! He's dead! We're going to die!!" David put up one finger to shush her. "It's already broken. We can use that to get up through the window. We'll leave Charles's body to rest here." Tai sighed, "No respect for the dead." he muttered remorsefully under his breath.

After they had all gotten inside, they looked around for the nearest source of weaponry.
Noah took a broom and attached a condom and a swiss knife to it. Everyone looked at him oddly.

"Do you not understand how modern forensics work?"

Tai held an elongated staple remover, Artemis a lamp, Ivy a large hardcover book, and David a plant holder. He looked around at the ready group, nodded, and they opened the door and headed downstairs.
