Author Topic: Are Just Cause 2 and GTA:IV similar?  (Read 1085 times)

NalNalas and I are having a discussion of whether or not Just Cause 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV are similar. He thinks that they're not similar because GTA:IV takes place in Liberty City, the gameplay is different, the storylines are different, no health regeneration, and there is no grappling hook. I think they're similar because they are both open-world games, they both have non-required missions that increase your progression throughout the game,  and the gameplay mechanics are nearly the same.
What do you think?

With your kind of arguments you might as well compare Saints Row with FSX because you can do whatever you want

They are similar in some respects and different in others. It all depends on the perspective.

Honestly no
They have their similarities but they are far different imo

did you just boil it down to the broadest you could to try to connect the two? youre wrong, your friend is right.

it's almost as if gta is the realistic one, saints row is the whacky one and just cause 2 is inbetween the two, imo

jc2 story is designed to be a bad action movie, thats why the voice acting is bad :D
