Author Topic: What is it about the blockland forums and furries+bronies?  (Read 17608 times)

Steve is correct, by that logic anyone who watched and liked a Disney movie is a furry. Even if its just one character.
I don't pretend to be a character though, I just watch the movie.
Besides, most grown men don't really watch cartoons with animals all that often anyway.
it used to be more taboo fromwhat i remember to be so open about their gay special interestes. but now since the bronies came in the furries felt they had a green light. pretty friendy if you ask me...

I don't care if a little kid does it cause they're still real young. I'm talking grown men, some in their 20s.
I know one guy who was in my class who watched a episode of MLP and completely "ponified" his computer and constantly got on my nerves about it just to make me mad, he told me that was the reason as well.

Keep in mind that I don't hate bronies or anything, one of my real life closest friend is a brony. He has a toy or 2 and his computer has pony stuff but he still keeps to himself outside his bedroom.

even i find it a tad strange when i see someone completely transform a room with pony-related stuff. moderation and balance is key in all things. some adults remain kids, either by personality, teachings, or what have you. it's generally related to the upbringing and events they experienced over time that turn give you the later result. i'm not saying that's an excuse for behavior, however even adults (elders even!) act as such regardless of what they are into.

the kid you mention just sounds like an ass. probably was an ass before, and continues to be one after. there is no reason to act as such.
personally, i never imagine myself actively chatting with friends and family over this or displaying pony stuff in my room. the internet is the only place i've really discussed it, and i don't mind keeping it there in its place.

also, i hold nothing against you or any others in the topic regardless of their viewpoints (accurate or not). i simply try to provide accurate information based on what i know, as unbiasedly neutral as possible

yeah, like i said it used to be a lot more taboo and just weird to bring up the furfandom.

It's less about the forums and furries / bronies in general, and more about a handful of people drawing attention to themselves using their fandom as a tool of doing such.

Same thing happens with popular videogames, anime and any other popular fandom. They just aren't as noticed because they don't bring up as much controversy as other fandoms.

Most people don't mind a pokemon avatar or somebody posting a screencap of adventure time, but I can't say the same for my little pony. It's just one of those things that get a certain kind of people riled up.

I'm just saying, that by whoever it was logic it was like that. Although it isnt

I agree with every bit of this. I have no argument.
The guy was an ass about it and 'ponyfying' stuff is pretty weird.

you know what I hate
when people don't know what they're talking about

Why do people hate on furries/bronies? They can be whatever the forget they want and you have no right to question it.

He did, look at the picture.
If I have to I'll search for it.
I've been here a while and remember something like that.

you registered in the summer of 2010 you should know this stuff
he removed the avatars of a few members who had very obviously cropped from furry research avatars
and he never deleted any threads because they were furry

Good thing adblock lets me block any unwanted avatars.

I've always wondered why there were so many furries on the forum

Why weren't Ipquarx' avatar privileges taken away? That was cropped furry research.

Did you watch Lion King or one of the million kid's shows where the characters are animals?
I know you have, so that means you're a furry by that logic.
What...?
