What is it about the blockland forums and furries+bronies?

with my experience of bronies and furries in real life, they are the most loving annoying pieces of stuff that i have ever seen. they wear loving flashy ass clothing and are extremely loud and loving annoying. and its the same damn thing with making your avatar furry or a pony, its just loving gay

Hey everybody. I just want to (attempt to) clear up this misconception about bronies.

Many of them (myself included) watch the show for the production quality, story, and humor. NOT BECAUSE WE LOVE PONIES. Was that clear enough for you? Sure, there are some people out there who may not watch the show for that reason, but many of us do. Sure, there are some disgusting bronies out there, but guess what? Chances are they were disgusting BEFORE they watched the show! Watching pictures moving on a screen doesn't automatically make someone a loser, nerd, homoloveual, or a social outcast.

Now, would I watch the show if the characters weren't ponies? Probably. Would I enjoy it? Yes. Maybe not as much as MLP as it is now (because having ponies as characters give an interesting dynamic to the show), but it would still be enjoyable, by all means.

On that note, as a result of what I just said, you should quickly and easily be able to realize that NOT ALL BRONIES ARE FURRIES either. For goodness' sake, people! Do you even think before you type? (<-- Not directed at everyone.)

I never remember anyone so much as posting about it.
Never so much as a topic.

No other shows, for adult or kid, get even ONE PERCENT of the attention and posts as does MLP.
There's something missing here. Probably the "lets spread our stuff as wide as possible to piss off people" aspect.

Yes, that annoys me to, with any interest. But I can guarantee you know many other furries or bronies that don't do this, and you don't know they're furry or brony because of it

I can't even attempt to explain this as I have no interest in the show, but I'm pretty sure only a small amount of the popularity is purposely pissing people off, and it's not fair to hate the entire group for it.

Yes, maybe. However, it's not simply to just annoy people. Sure, there are definitely people out there who do that, but the majority of the people enjoy it so much and talk about it so much because it's "different" and "not the norm".

Also, Spongebob is one example. But your statement is false. Take Naruto or Bleach or Dragonball Z for example. There are still other massive fanbases out there, they're just not as "interesting", so to speak, because they don't stray far from what's considered normal.

One more point. One reason bronies stand out a lot is because people other than their own group talk about them a lot too (haters)! Don't blame us for all the publicity. People who feel like they have to go out of their way to badmouth something they don't like over and over riles up the defenders of the group, thus starting a big fight and draw attention to themselves.

Anyway, I'm open to hear what you have to say, and I respect your opinions. Please don't take anything I've said the wrong way.

It's probably more than you'd think. Even if they're doing it subconciously.
Think about it, no show has EVER gotten even 1% of the replies as MLP, weather it be for adults,for kids, good, bad, whatever.
Like I said, there's something missing here. Even if I liked the show, I doubt it's 1385.125 times better than breaking bad.

If the topic had say, 50 or 100 pages I wouldn't give a stuff.
I'd just be like, oh, that must be a decent show.


But it has orders of magnitude more posts than any other show ever posted about, ever.
