So while on this topic, how would breeds of animals, monsters, etc work under original content. I have a zinogre fursona but would it be considered original?

If it's a "different instance" so to speak of a species/breed then I'd consider it an "original" character. It's original in the sense that it's technically separate from any other character, even though it may have extremely similar traits. It's not really totally original from a creativity standpoint though.
