Whenever I draw and show other people and ask what they think and what could be better, they usually always say "good" or something just so simple and meaningless, and it really pisses me off. I would actually like criticism like Vinny's.

It's ok I know how you feel. I post a drawing every so often in the Drawings Megathread and people just cruise over it but somehow manage to comment on the next piece of crap. Just keep drawing often and do it consistently.

It's kind of like not feeding your dog a treat after he does a trick for you. even if you feel like you may be repetitive at least there's something to snack on. :)

I think it would be better to have criticism from actual artists.

"Actual artists" are a lot harder to get into contact with than with a friend. Especially if it's just over a little sketch or something.
