Noted the whole explore body part is of course for scientific studies. Science being one of my all-time favorite things, we need to know how it'd work and what'd be like. Which, an intellectual creature such as a gryphon would probably understand. If not, there would be more bonding before making any examinations it didn't want to have prior. No reason to upset it, that's rude.
