every time I try to digitally draw anything, it ends up being a load of lines that I keep replacing over, and over again.
is this some form of ocd or am I not using the right tools?

Talent is a pursued interest. You can literally do anything you want if you put your heart, mind, and time into it.

Talent is a pursued interest. You can literally do anything you want if you put your heart, mind, and time into it.

even if that is true, at some point it's too much time. if you don't have any natural ability to do something (which is what talent is) then you might still have a stereotypical DA style even when you graduate from college, and you won't really have time to practice a lot of drawing
that might be worth it to some people, idk. I'd love to draw, it would be great if I could, but it isn't that important to me, over things that I do have the aptitude for

I'm going to stop you right there.

From my experience, there's pretty much no such thing as "natural ability". The prodigies in the world who have an amazing talent just like to do it and do it a lot, e.g. drawing. Every human being has the potential to reach the same amount of skill in any profession, and everyone is born with pretty much a blank slate. The end result is simply what's invested.

If you or others say you want to draw but can't, you're obviously not interested in drawing at all, therefore complaining that you cannot do so is pointless when you yourself can change that.

Complaining may not be the most accurate of words, but if you wish you could draw, then draw god damnit. If you don't want to, then you don't truly wish you can draw, and that's fine.
