Well then what is changing my internal IP? It only does it when the router resets it seems.

alyx didnt calim 3700 so i will :3
37 is like the worst number ever
it's a prime number first of all
secondly
"dirty seven"
sounds like a weird version of happy hour at some cheap strip club

I don't even know what calim 3700 means :/

3700 isn't a prime number, silly.

The reset of the router, sherlock. Your internal IP is set by your router/switch. If you have a hub, you need to set them manually.

Your external IP resets when you unplug your modem for some time or if your ISP gives you a dynamic external IP.

And what we're talking about is that it doesn't work that way
Wait wtf was I thinking...?

Anyways so here's what happens.
If your computer isn't configured with a static ip, then it requests one from your router's DHCP server. But it holds on to this IP for a specified lease time (several hours to a day at least), and automatically re-requests the same IP before the lease is over. Which brings up the question: how long are you leaving the router unplugged for, and why?

Either way, set up a static IP on your computer, not your router/modem (Why would you not have done this already?)

The router gets unplugged constantly because its in a high traffic room and is plugged into a sketchy surge protector. It can be unplugged anywhere in between a few seconds to a few hours.

Most of the time its just a few minutes because the traffic is too slow for night time screwing up. That and I made them stop using the sketchy surge protector for plugging other stuff into.

It should be well known now that Pie Crust is not very familiar with much.

I don't even know how he has never seen pixel art but at this point I think he may be sarcastic on some stuff

I sure do hope so.

The issue with sarcasm and the internet is that you can't make it obvious.

Wolf or fox
i'd have to say fox because they're silly sometimes
You see? Even a furry-hater says foxes masterrace.
