I think you have discussion confused for argument. The post that started it all was rude, but everyone else was pretty decent about it.

And done.
But we had eight posts back and forth about whether or not it was, before I even came in here (and more after). And yet everyone (or at least fireking) seems to be blaming me for this, when I'm just asking people to stop.
I wouldn't have even said anything if it hadn't gone farther than that.

The hypothetical conversation I posed above is helpful. Point out the flaw and move on.
Going back and forth about it for multiple pages just causes the people who may actually benefit from it to go "ug, an argument" and leave until it ends.


If you want to be helpful then do it. I post my stuff all the time, and very frequently don't get a single response to it.
