yeah tbh the person/suit has to be skinny for it to even remotely look good because in situations like this one, it just looks kinda clownish
gotta have the form of the animal to look like it

edit: a fursuit is supposed to resemble a character and with the current limitations of not fitting like a second skin, it's just gonna look pretty stupid

If you have the most adorable suit ever, but you just stand in the corner, then you're going to be boring
