also its not just hate because of nostalgia, its because the show is awful. it tries so hard to appeal to children but not even my little brother finds it funny. they even call it "your favorite show" on the channel.

I've never watched the other teen titans show, but i have watched one episode of that, "The Return of Slade".

It's built up as about Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, then abandons that about a minute in so they can spend the rest of the episode implying via non-subtle clown metaphor that cartoons are strictly for children and any attempt to make them edgy will do nothing but corrupt children's minds.

Also the episode starts with one of the main characters being deeply entertained by a pony shaking it's ass on television.
