Author Topic: Look at Apples new "Desktop"  (Read 4686 times)

Its the new iTrash
Apple finally realizes what their macs are
sig'd.

I love how they manage to fit all these parts into a small, desktop that takes up a lot less space, then people go complaining about it, and iOS 7, actually looks really nice has many nice features, OS X Maverick I don't know much about yet. Point is, you guys just complain about Apple even when they manage to do some stuff right.

You all have biased opinions and just complain about Apple and everything they do.

biased opinions is redundant
every opinion is biased, that's why it's an opinion, not a fact

I'm confused how they're going to keep something so small and compact running at a decent temperature with only 1 fan.

There is only one heatsink and it is rather large so why does it need more than one fan?. I'm not going to say it's more effective because I haven't seen any test results, but the design could certainly be feasible. Slapping more fans into a computer does not necessarily mean it will keep cooler. Bad fan use and placement can actually hurt performance because physics.

Also do you people really think that a fully Apple design compact cylinder is going to be easier to knock down than a massively tall square box with parts from who knows where changing its balance?

I ran some calculation and found it has around 1/8th the volume of a normal computer case. That being said, a cylinder has good volume to surface area ratio.

itt: "hahurr it looks like a didlko XD stopid aple"

as much as i dislike apple, this is actually sort of a neat idea
i'm interested to see how it actually runs (and how much it's going to cost)

I hate Apple an overwhelming amount, but I don't see a problem with this.

well, that is new and interesting.

i hate all apple producats but that is a beast its so powerfull but it does look ugly
this will cost a stuff ton an absolute stuff ton pci ssd's are not loving cheap and it seemed not to have a HDD so it must all be ssd.

i would like to see how good this cooling is with a duel gpu set up nthat will pump out stuff tones of heat in a small enclosed area who know might sound like a jet engin. i like the specs only the specs hate the look cooling and its apple. I want one but i know i dont have 5 grand lying around for this and if i did get one i would wait a little bit for someone to manage to get a new OS on it im not using apples stuffty os i want it compleatly wiped.

sum it up: i love the specs they are great compared to mine (will post below) but thoses specs will cost a stuff tone and most people wont be able to afford it. hate the looks looks wierd thats all i have to say nothing else. i would have liked to see liquid cooling but meh i just see that has pumping out heat and being load as forget. ill see how it goes when its launched and all the youtube reviews come in

(My computer specs:
i7 3770k Overclocked to 4.2ghz(im not a big overclocker)
asrock z77 extream 4
128gb ocz vertex 4
saphier 7970 3gb OC edition(should have gone 6gb becuse meh but i dont run 4-6 screens)(soone to be x2 of these)
cosair h100i
2TB WD black HDD
16gb corsair vengence 1600mhz ram)

thats the only important things that matter really

I hate Apple an overwhelming amount, but I don't see a problem with this.

especially with its size.
