You see, that would be the problem. Nintendo has other characters that they can and should use instead of rehashing old characters and slightly changing them to appease  fans, the ones who wouldn't buy a game if characters they've already played are in them.

I don't really see a point because you've been using the same character constantly in the previous game so why do you need them in this game also if they are the same?

Like, my favorite character Ike isn't returning to this game I'm sure, but Chrom is most likely replacing him with a new moveset and final smash so who cares?

You're basically paying for the same characters over and over again (if you bought melee, but brawl has the same situation too) over some nostalgia value or something.

Make a list. Replace every well known Nintendo character in the current veterans roster with another well known character from another series

Mewtwo was mostly okay in my opinion, but way too light for his size.
