Not even Brawl? Also, why don't you want the Wii U version? Unless you don't have a Wii U, which I also don't.

I am disappointed with their roster choices. However, because the 3DS version is portable, it will be handy for long car rides.

Brawl is THE worst smash game...
Gameplay wise yeah it's not the best functioning smash in a longshot but it sure did stave the initial hunger
It's really a flagship game in that I can't stop calling the new Smash game Brawl ;-;

I would have to kindly disagree with that because Smash 64 hasn't seemed to age very well. The controls are not very fluid and quite clunky, and Brawl nailed them quite well, sans tripping.

Brawl is significantly worse than melee in most ways but controls isn't one of them, they're about equal in that area

the original is a notch behind it simply because of how sluggish it feels, but its not that the controls are clunky, its because the entire game is too slow

but to be honest, if brawl didn't have wolf or metaknight I'd probably choose the original over it, and I'd choose melee over either any day

also are we allowed to talk about Project M

But you can actually combo in smash 64 where as brawl is all defense

I think Brawl is a great game, except that honestly, going online sucks. Occasionally there's lag that forgets up the game completely. There's also hackers online as well. They're never good news.

Finally, teaming. It pisses me off how I end up in a lot of brawls where I'm either teamed on or everyone's doing absolutely nothing. The point of the game is to fight, not just stand there. There's even a team option in online but nobody chooses to use it apparently.

But of course those issues will go away on the day the Wii/DS internet will spontaneously combust.
