My mom is weird okay ;-;

I've been doing taekwondo and muay thai for ~3 years, but don't take classes anymore because money to pay for the classes became a problem really fast. Of only one of the three years I've been training have I actually taken a class, but I'm kind of glad I stopped taking classes because I taught myself more in one week than the programs could in three. I have friends who take classes for muay thai and taekwondo and we spar and teach each other things regularly(not so much anymore since my back is all screwed up again)

I started studying krav maga 9 months ago for (obviously) self defense, and because I plan on joining the marines. Since I don't really study/practice any grappling-exclusive martial arts, I use throws I learn from this in sparring

I've also studied a little bit of ninjutsu(for more bone-breaking techniques, open-hand strikes, and throws/takedowns) and capoeira(great for choreographed fights lol)

Here's one of my friends at a muay thai fight(red shorts). He should have won, imo it was a terrible decision :p Excuse the terrible music, the guy who uploaded and recorded it recently became addicted to dubstep lol

i'm pretty sure that in amateur bouts it's a draw unless one guy wins the fight

but to spark up the discussion
when i spar muay thai:
i have a few stances but usually i take bouncy stance with a lot of footwork. no vicious circling; that's handicapped and tires you out easily.
i balance a lot of punches and kicks. usually for bigger people i throw more punches and push kicks to keep distance and because it's faster and keeps them in control more easily. i do throw axe kicks too though, probably the only "fancy" move i do against big people.
really for people my size do i do fancy moves like backfists and spinning back (high) kicks. Spinning body kicks are one of my favorite moves and i really don't consider them fancy.
i love deceptive boxing and eating hits to set up combos. i throw a lot of kicks, though, which are usually blocked but i do it to either finish a combo or start one up. the only real "damage" kicks i go for are high kicks, mostly normal but sometimes front. i land them on occasion, not to mention i throw them pretty quickly.

Hey Aromania have you ever seen someone with an Elevation Training Mask because I'm thinking about getting one

why the forget is Kung Fu not an option

incoming poll reset

atm my favorite combo that could probably count as a single move is a round-kick feign to skip-hook

kung fu is a broad term for all chinese martial arts dough

trained for ~4 years, it's essentially the only non-aggressive martial art. it relies entirely on other's actions, except when they do decide to commit, you floor them.
I do aikido too, similar length of time. Whats your favourite breakfall? :P

TaeKwonDo, yeah! I spar a ton. Im also A high brown.

I can like...
punch hard and stuff.
