Author Topic: My dog got hit by a van.  (Read 7373 times)

I feel bad for the dog. You should've had a leash for it. It's your fault, not the drivers.
it is at least partially the driver's fault
there is no way at all that someone who was paying a proper amount of attention could completely not notice the dog, even if it was a chihuahua
not saying the dog shouldn't have been on a leash, just that it isn't entirely their fault

Have you ever driven before, especially at night?

nah, I had quite the laugh at all the over reactions
Geez, why are you being such a richard today?

I guess you're just going trough some ruff times.

Hope its going to be short.

Damn, my dog seems to be invincable, it has had so many things happen to it that sould have at least done some damage to her, when she got hit by a car she was fine where as the car had a dent in it, we had to pay $900 to fix it.

I have driven a lot, and if I can notice a cup in the road (and I can), I know that I could notice a moving dog
...at what point did night come into this?

Could've been an accident on his part.

Not sticking up for him, but the dog was your responsibility, and you chose to walk down the street without the dogs on leashes.

I told my mom before we left, but she said ''He'll be fine.''
conspiracy

Hope your dog gets better.

first sentry's cat and now your dog?
forget.

Oh my god lol

So many over reactions for someone just hitting a loving dog. How'd you expect the driver to see/care about a stupid rat in the middle of the road?

Wow forget you lol.

Were you clever enough to write down or memorize that number on the back of the car

Vans have more blind spots

when there's an animal on the road it's hard to miss and can be dangerous to try and attempt to miss especially when you can't brake in time
and there was nothing he could have done if he had stopped except say sorry or get in the way

Yes, the driver couldn't have possibly made a mistake in a vehicle thats generally high off the ground and has a gazillion blindspots in the general lower front
