Does any know how I would make a desktop launcher for a .jar file? When I open the  launcher, it says cancel, mark as executable, or launch anyway. The only option that does anything is cancel. This is in Xubuntu.

Just chmod +x the .jar file.

Does anyone know of a decent music app, something maybe like the Elementary default music app, minimal yet powerful.

Clemintine?

Clemintine?
Trying it now, has a lot of unnecessary stuff all over it, and not enough that I want.  I'd like something like the iTunes album selection, an array of album art which expands to show the album list, which also allows for easy playing of an album.  This queue thing is just counter intuitive too.  This is hardly minimal, with its mood bars, wii remote settings, last fm button, sidebar, playback options, like/ban, etc.

I use Banshee, but I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for.

gmusicbrowser is pretty good too, and has a bajlilion themes, so you could make it look how you want. I'd try that first.

So when I play Blockland on Xubuntu using wine, I get short bursts of lag when I try to look around. I don't have my new GPU yet (a 7770 ( :D )), and I am running off of my motherboards built in GPU. Do you think this is caused by my poor graphics capabilities, or is it something else?

Idk if it matters, but my system specs are:

AMD FX 4130 3.8GHz Quad Core
4GBs DDR3
Built in ATI Radeon 3000 GPU.

So far I'm really liking banshee, the UI is a little messy, but not obtrusive in any way.  one minor annoyance though: is there a way to organize albums by artist?

I was thinking of trying out Antergos Do you think it's worth it?

I am using a Windows 7 desktop currently, and I've always wanted to try Ubuntu. I just have a question. I want to install it, but I have a feeling that I will not be satisfied with it. How would I be able to revert back to my old operating system if I don't want to use it anymore? (Windows 7 Vista)
