You should at least go to Windows 7 bro.
Yes I'm on XP but thats because my PC won't accept anything higher.

I hate Windows 8 so much. I've had it for a while and it's caused me so many loving problems. Constant blue-screens, freezing when I try to open up the "Connect to Network" button to the point I have to press it several times to respond; the loving task manager can't save your ass when you're forgeted in a frozen situation, and overall, it's just so loving unreliable and rapes the stuff out of my CPU with the Metro UI.

I'm either going to downgrade to windows 7 when my laptop comes back from REPAIR or I'm going to wait for Windows 8.1

Or just wait for windows 8.1 to be pushed.

That will make no difference. It's going to be a start button for the MetroUI. There's a button that can take you there faster. lol

At least there will be a shut down option..

Be 100% honest, is a Windows 7 start menu really needed?
When I was running windows 7 I just used the desktop, I don't really care about the metro start screen being there.

its extremely useful to just type the name of one of the hundreds of programs you installed in some long forgotten secret folder to launch it, yes, that is needed

> Press windows button
> Start screen pops up
> Start typing 'Blockland'
> Press enter
> blockland is now open on the desktop.

What's the difference?

It's a big difference, but it's really no big deal. You get used to it.
