Author Topic: At what age should kids be allowed to play M-Rated games?  (Read 3717 times)

Let's see,
10 for DOOM
12 for Half Life, Halo, and TES
13 for Fallout, Just Cause, and Left 4 Dead
14 for TF2, CoD, and CSS
16 at the minimum for GTA and Saint's Row

14 for TF2, 10 for doom
wtf are you smoking

He probably based those on difficulty level, but Doom is honestly not-so-gory compared to games nowadays.

I started playing Grand Theft Auto when I was 12 (last year.) I started with SA and now I play IV and I'm the biggest serious fan of GTA that i know.

my parents understand that i know the difference between gta and real life.

(and 16+ for gta? dude the forget? i know lots of people that are intelligent and mature in my age group that play gta iv , i just dont know them personally.)

You're only saying that because you're 14

i'm not interested in any of those m rated games though, so i seriously don't care

No they don't

maybe they don't but the rating most certainly does

14

people act as if you learn about "mature stuff" at age 17-18 but the truth is most kids(if not all) learn about that stuff at age 12-14.
i learned about in the WOMB of the BEAST

games arent rated by difficulty

This entire rating garbage is total bullstuff

bought GTA IV at about 11 then GTA SA at 11 after that

I started playing Chinatown Wars on my iPod when I was 12 then I started playing GTA III, SA, VICE, and IV and now V when I was 13.

My SA broke on Steam though. :(

TF2 after L4D? I don't see the logic here. In Left 4 Dead, arms are blown off, faces are peeled apart, and realistic organs are shown being strewn around, not to mention lots of decapitation. TF2 is much more cartoony and has no true "gore", only blood.

Any age = E games
6 and up = T games
10 and up = Certain M games
12 and up = All M games.

I don't know if I should take your guys' advice, I mean look how  you all turned out
