usually the missions are ultra hard and it takes me several playthroughs to progress -- and i usually can't get anyone of my rank to help me.
(and i only got as far as venus, so that's a lot of progressing to be done)

+ getting new stuff is either bollocks frustating or requires me to pay money.

I want to like this game, I really really do. But I just can't. The levels are repetitive, the art design on most of the frames is downright ugly and forgettable, the infested are so incredibly unfun to fight and are probably the most uninspired enemies ever, the starter weapons are dog stuff, and the grind takes forever and never feels rewarding. Also from the looks of things the devs are handicapped and don't know what they're doing.

They're not an office full of code monkeys, it's tougher to fix bugs and rewrite the game than to make weapons. This feedback doesn't help them that much either.

Get mods scrub. All guns aren't that usable until you mod them up.

Lol you must not be doing something right cus I remember doing pretty well with an upgraded Braton and Lato. Hell, I had stufftons of fun with the Lato.

To me at least, mods are kinda like paint with numbers without the numbers, you need to feel around the weapon to know what places to mod in, Multi-Shot and Damage are good places to start with the Lato.
EDIT: Oh and Armor Piercing is good too.

Guns are only bad when you don't have any mods on them. Evaluate what seems to be Lacking in the guns stats and try to obtain a mod that makes that better. Heck,even the Braton could be a very useful item with the right mods on it. then later, Just mess around with loadouts for mods and see how they work, I can guarantee you'll be enjoying the game more when you get off of Mercury/Venus.
