Author Topic: Just got my wisdom teeth out. Ask me anything.  (Read 4973 times)

about 16 hours ago, I had my wisdom teeth removed. I have virtually no pain or swelling at this point, and I think I'm probably gonna eat some solid foods soon. Anyway, ask me anything you want. I can't tell you how clear my answers will be since I'm still sorta medicated lol.

y u get em removd, pusy?

Because of the angle they were coming in. I'd have to deal with tooth impaction and tons of pain later in life. As an added bonus, the roots of my wisdom teeth haven't calcified completely so there's no risk of nerve damage when removing them at my age.

I also have pics of my teeth if anyone wants to see.

hard to say specifically, but it's an organism so there's thousands of proteins and structural compounds.

Throughout the entire time the pain level was 2/10 or less. It was a breeze, but I'm thinking that it probably just has something to do with my specific teeth. Most people say it hurts way more.

I was actually wondering about the etymology of 'wisdom teeth' afterwards, and the reason they're called that is because most people have them grow in around age 17-20 which correlates with higher education :P.

Getting general anesthetic was terrible and I don't like the feeling of being hazy and tired. So yes, I felt doped but not in a pleasant way.

Reminds me of when I got a root cbrown town.
My dad had one and it hurt like a bitch, the dentist gave me about a weeks supply of a prescription pain killer (don't remember which)
There was little pain during the procedure because of the anesthetic, after it wore off, it was definitely painful, but I took some pills, took a nap with an icepack on it and when I woke up the pain was gone.

Anyways I still have my wisdom teeth. I have 5 of them, apparently extra wisdom teeth runs in the family; my mom had one extra and her dad had two extra.
