Did you get your wisdom teeth out?

Welcome to Reddit: Blockland forums Edition.

Ew dude don't eat solid foods yet. You are going to get an infection.

My dentist said I had to get my wisdom teeth removed when I was 17 a few years ago. He went to check my mouth to see how many I had, and I didn't have any. Guess I'm pretty lucky.

Why the forget were we even born with the ability to grow wisdom teeth if we just get them removed?

forget you, evolution.

If having wisdom teeth started to kill people, they'd be phased out by natural selection reasonably quickly.

And then the non-wisdom teeth master-race would prevail.

But yeah, they're pretty annoying.
No real benefit for us these days, as we don't have diets that especially need them.
Consider them the Appendix of your mouth.

>trait only becomes harmful in a handful of the population at age 17-20
>human reproductive age is 13

Oh, I wonder?

Have you bled from your mouth at all? I remember when I was a kid there were all sorts of horror stories about people bleeding for the better part of a day while being bedridden.

Do you really need to get them removed? Or is it just a optional thing?

I would say wisdom tooth removal is probably the best choice if your dentist says your jaw is too small. I don't think my results are typical, but I'd definitely take this recovery period over impacted wisdom teeth lol.

I have one wisdom tooth coming in. Its going to be weird having ONE tooth back there, and the other three spots are empty.
