Author Topic: I can't wait to move out. (Rant warning)  (Read 12638 times)

about me being seven you twit
other than that everything else i've said here is perfectly valid
you may have stopped me, super sleuth, but you can't stop the bomb !!

It's not valid because you're sitting here trying to lecture me about the "real world" when you're a minor too. How would you know any better? Do you work a job as well? Even if you do, that's not going to make your point any more valid. You're seventeen. I'm nearly seventeen. We're almost the same age and you're trying to act like you know so much more than I do.

I skimmed Yenola's posts and I'm laughing my ass off.
He's talking about moving out and paying his own bills when we all know he's still living comfortably at home. Rofl.

Here's the deal Moonstar..

When you do find yourself living on your own, you'll start to realize all the things you have to pay for yourself. And it's very harsh.
I was kicked out of the house at 17. Since then i had to live at my friends houses from year to year, to finally being able to get a job. Then I can finally afford co-renting a apartment.

When I was living under my parents roof, I was very ungrateful, and I would complain about petty stuff similar to  your situation. My parents were harsh and unforgiving, which lead me to being kicked out. (Without getting into too many details)

All I'm saying, is try to work it out peacefully with your parents. Trust me, you'll want to live under their household once you start going to college.

I tried to find the quote, but I said "for a few months", I moved back in with my grandparents, I still work though.
My friends couldn't hold up their side of the rent and so we all moved back home.

You're absolutely right. And I did work out the situation completely peacefully and everything is okay now. And yes, I know I'd be paying for everything on my own. That's why I got a job now so that I could gain credibility and work experience for future jobs that will help me support myself. I'm trying to build up, pretty much.

As I said, I was skimming posts. So apologies if I missed that.

But, lecturing someone about something usually requires the experience of the lecture topic.

Him being ungrateful and telling him to stop doesn't work, which is why I responded negatively to the posts I read of yours.

@Moonstar
No one is trying to parent you on here, so I'm glad you're taking what people are saying as suggestions and advice.

It goes without saying that a lot of younger people (Self included) have/had to go through the similar hoops that you do.

Summary: A lot of people on this forum have, or have to be in the same boat some day.

My parents turn off the internet from 12AM (at night) until 7 PM (after school) so I would "get my homework done and not stay up late" until I figured out you can see passwords in firefox and I got into it and disabled for my devices. 1337

Nice, now you probably still have to play metal gear solid in real life and listen for footsteps lol

have you been doing your homework

so i can't really talk about this like you guys can, because I have 4 years until adulthood.  thinking of the needs and bills you need to pay and how you need to work for hours for crappy pay rate just makes me want to curl up in a ball and hide from the world. getting a job at 17 and moving out and stuff triggers a bit of anxiety when I think about it.
god, i need to spend the next five years actually growing up and preparing to be self serving

it gets surprisingly easier once you actually start approaching The Time of Manhood, particularly once you realize you can hire people to do everything for you

"Servant. Do my job for me at a decreased payrate. You, over there, make me breakfast."
well, maybe not to that extent but what do you mean by hiring people to work? it seems like when you're scraping up just enough to get by you shouldn't pay people.

what the forget dude
just go to sleep

when I read threads like this I wish I could help somehow
hope it all works out
