They didn't want the game leaked during development, so they barely tested the online. Turned out tons of data was getting thrown out when put under stress. Why else would character, vehicle, etc. data start disappearing? The system gets packed, safety systems kick in, start tossing data that shouldn't be tossed just to relieve loads.

you have absolutely no clue what you're saying.  It's actually because you can't have a million player test like that.  stuff forgets up when you suddenly have literally millions of people connecting to the servers.

Given some of the recent technical issues during these first days of GTA Online, and now that things are starting to look much smoother (touch wood!), we are planning to provide a special stimulus package for all who have played or will play Grand Theft Auto Online this month. PC is trash

Most arrogant thing I've heard all week.. PC is quite the opposite, I'm more of a console gamer, but I will agree that PC is much better, either you've never gamed on a PC or yours is completely trash..

I'm on the up side of Rockstar giving away 500,000 to us, it kind of makes up for the issues but they really didn't have to...

That's what I was thinking, I mean if they gave us nothing I'd still be fine since the servers are working right and they're trying to fix the issues asap, but then to go out and give everyone 500k for the inconvenience is pretty generous.

The way you said that made me think you're implying it wasn't generous. Not to mention it's not 500k all at once, it's 250k at 2 different dates, technically they could be months apart, in which case you could get the best apartment by then anyways.
