You guys really arent missing much. Every other player will just ram into you on sight and try shooting you. If you try doing a mission half the time the game just freezes and you have to restart the game.

When rockstar said it would be "buggy" they meant unplayable at release. I'd say give it a week before its playable, mission wisw

i've never experienced any of these problems while i was playing.

I'm literally just trying to do practically the first mission where you have to do the last tean standing in the factory place. I'm staring at the mission info with the loading icon.

Can't cancel, cant pause,  can't do anything other than close the game out. And if I do that I lose any progress I've made money/ammo wise.

Nope, I updated this morning and it didn't work.

i have managed to play the first two missions, now i'm currently "stuck" on the Cypress Flats mission
but my impressions up to this point are that this mode is amazing and could only get better as it becomes more stable

when i first got in, it gave me 10000 GTA$, dont know why but i think it was just a temporary thing, someone immediately started to chase me and tried to shoot them but i managed to kill them first. after that session, i got into the actual game. when i got to the Los Santos Customs-related mission, i tried to get a good sports car but apparently they are premium and aren't allowed initially :(

so i have a suckish sedan until i can get enough to buy my dream car <3

For PlayStation 3 users, a PlayStation Network server issue was detected that was limiting the amount of possible concurrent users. This was preventing most players from accessing GTA Online altogether and as of this morning, that problem was resolved.

iirc the amount of money made doesn't magically allow them to finish a gigantically scaled game faster

Seriously this, almost everything involving a lot of players launches like this.
