It's called videogame studios, no matter how big, can't maintain super duper massive servers without console brand support. AKA Microsoft and Sony aren't massive investors, like Microsoft is with Halo, so despite all the amazing work, a server system for this many people is just... out of their reach. But they are bringing it in now.
