just go in passive mode
you literally press M, scroll down and hit enter

nothing will explode and your epeen will not be shrunken

You can't fire weapons in passive mode.
I like to be able to shoot pedestrians and police.

And if my brother and I stop we like to be able to get out and have a knife fight (#justbrotherthings), without faffing about going into/out of passive mode (I play Xbox One version, so I have to open a menu and cycle through a list to activate passive mode).

And even outside of that, being able to crash into other players cars while driving, and race them without ghosting in/out of each other is nice. You can't do that in passive mode.


By the way, I don't disagree with using passive mode.
I do use it when I'm trying to do stuff, like sort through my inventory and whatnot, or I'm being bullied by someone with better weaponry/vehicles than me.
I just think it's petty that you go on about using passive mode to avoid people constantly attacking you, but you admit you blow up armoured vehicles on sight.

i use passive mode when i'm auto dropped into a public lobby after a mission.
other then that i just go into an invite only session.

on another note, snapmatic is very fun

is anyone here able to use shadowplay in-game? cause the FPS counter works for me, but the recording does not, unless i go to fullscreen. i like to keep the game in borderless
