The AC begins research into railguns and other higher level weaponry.
The TPSP begins a program in which satellites of various purposes are launched into orbit regularly. Designs for a TPSP space station are complete, construction begins. Work on the moon midway (landing/takeoff/refuel/&c. point on the moon) is about a quarter done.
The AC once again brings its air defense grid back up to above standard. This includes not only the retrofitting of older interceptor missile and SAM sites, but also the retraining and specialization of the system operators. Similar retrofitting and retraining is happening with all branches of the AC's armed forces, including the militias so that militiamen may be better able to fill the roles of full military personnel if needed; this has the added bonus of civilians being more effective in performing various civilian duties.
The AC implements a sort of draft in which all those 20 to 25 must perform some sort of civil service (the default is military service). Those who are conscientious objectors may choose to perform a non militant service such as becoming a functionary in the government or menial drone performing basic duties for the government.
