Author Topic: YOU ARE DUMB BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE *gamenamehere*  (Read 20155 times)

this isn't a contest of what creative things people have made, anyway
it's about what's possible in the games
and I don't need an image to prove that you can make more in three axes than in twothat's just pixel art, which is not only possible in minecraft, but commonly done
paint.net has more potential for that than either of the games
i dont think you understand that is a picture of the large scale map.

the art is immensely huge.

And I'm saying and have stated that there are more creative possibilities in terraria than in minecraft.

You tried to deny this by posting stuff I've seen a thousand times.

Yes, it's cool.
Yes, it's a piece of work
No, It's not creative and doesn't show the creativity of minecraft.
I think Minecraft would have more possibilities considering it's 3D and if you wanted to make something 2D you'd just make it pixel-arty and Terraria is restricted to being 2D

how the forget are you going to compare a 2 dimensional RPG to a 3d voxel survival/sandbox game
if we were actually comparing the games themselves rather than the creativity than can be shown with them, that would be a valid complaint

ugh christ
there is literally
frickin
no, sorry
compare blender/maya/whatever and paint.net/photoshop/whatever
the second set has the ability to make pixel art, drawings, whatever you wanna make, but it can not make anything in three dimensions
on the other hand, the first set of programs can. and, if you wanted to put that much work into it, you could recreate with them anything that the others have made, pixel-by-pixel
thus, the 3D programs have more potential

Maybe, but imagine making a cool ass thingamabob in 3D.

And someone is talented enough to make a cool ass thing like the thingamabob in 2D, but he can add more detailed things to make it stand out more and look more creative.

But there is another 3Dd thing that can add even more vivid details and stuff than both the 2D and 3D program.

My argument was not that 2D is better than 3D when it comes to art. it was that Terraria gives you the ability to add more details than minecraft, thus it was more creative.

Again, it had NOTHING to do with 3D or 2D and I did not make it general like that at all.

I was specifically talking about TWO games.

how can terraria be more detailed than minecraft?

what the hell
this isn't even a matter of opinion
this is a simple of matter of mathematical logic
you can achieve literally infinitely more in three dimensions than in two

how can terraria be more detailed than minecraft?
Because despite the fact that it works on a grid, it's not restricted to only using blocks. it has more content and complexity than minecraft

Basically why I can build a convincing dungeon in terraria that suits my creativity better than I can in minecraft.

I think terraria has more things going on in one screen than minecraft

but as a matter of detail, you cant compare a 3D and 2D game in detail.
It just doesn't make sense.

Yes please someone who understands its about the games and not the dimensions.

Let me tell you Cube World and Blockland have far much more potential of detail than terraria.

terraria has much better combat and an entirely better combat system than minecraft

Because despite the fact that it works on a grid, it's not restricted to only using blocks.
neither is minecraft..?

it has more content and complexity than minecraft
which is why nobody plays it and the developers have practically abandoned it..?

Basically why I can build a convincing dungeon in terraria that suits my creativity better than I can in minecraft.
so it's basically an issue of your inability to work in three dimensions...?

Are you even...
What?
are you even literate

I think terraria has more things going on in one screen than minecraft
what does that even mean

terraria has much better combat and an entirely better combat system than minecraft
both combat systems are garbage, as they both function as "click rapidly, back off, click rapidly"
except terraria includes guns so i suppose they expand it to "hold m1"

Because despite the fact that it works on a grid, it's not restricted to only using blocks. it has more content and complexity than minecraft
like I said before, have you ever actually played minecraft

what does that even mean

Play terraria and take a screenshot

Play minecraft and take a screenshot

Chances are, you'll be seeing more things on a terraria screenshot than on minecraft.
In minecraft you're limited to your character's view, and what he/she sees. Trees in minecraft are made up of blocks that have texture on them, and in terraria they're drawn with pixels.

However; comparing those two games in detail is like comparing a drawing on paper to a 3D model of what the drawing is trying to depict.

1. Most of it in it's entirety is. Most everything works on a block grid except for mobs, lava, and water
2 It's still a more complex game than minecraft. People played it, they likes it, then they went out of style. Don't use the fact that people got bored of a game (no stuff) to come with a crappy comment.
3.Not at all. Try harder.
4. I am literate, it's just that the point completely missed you so I had to make sure you actually knew what the forget you were even trying at.
like I said before, have you ever actually played minecraft
Name features that differentiate building in minecraft from a simple block system.

And yes I've played and owned minecraft since alpha. I am a decent builder and I have no problem making something I like in the game. Don't try to pull that same bullstuff from your post that erupted the argument.
