how many big companies can you name that you know get paid for reviews?

Last time I checked, around 5

that's 5 out of 81, wouldn't raise or lower the overall score dramatically : \

The companies that are bribed have a lot more influence than the other companies. Typically people will usually only look at 1 or 2 review sites before making a decision, and those sites are also most commonly ones that are bribed and more prominent.

not on metacritic

what kinda dream world are you living in

It's gameplay gets old and tiring fast, it uses terrible ~OMGSORETRO~ graphics, and it was a knockoff of a flash game.
And those are literally just the tip of the stuffberg.
Not to mention that the main developer is a huge starfish who shoves the game into people's faces and tells them to suck on his richard.
If you hate it then stop saying stuff about it, besides, it isn't old and tiring at all, people are digging through the source code of FEZ and they are finding secrets and are constantly trying to solve mysteries, this isn't such a bad game if you look at it in the right perspective

the kind where an average score is all the scores added up together and then divided by how many there are

I have learned to never trust critic reviews.

Also, comic relief:
